Homefront

It seems so far away, now that I'm here with you, safe and unscathed.
I couldn't explain in the letters I wrote, but I am more certain now than I was then, it was you that kept me alive. Not just protected from fleshly wounds, but alive . . . in my soul.

On those distant fields, we exchanged vengeance with such great fury that it seemed all life would slide down thru the craggily, broken earth into the very pit of hell.
Never could I have imagined such ugliness existed had I not seen it with my own eyes.

It might have convinced me that my life had slipped away, if I were not gazing at you tonight, the splendor of your beauty in such . . . striking contrast . . .

  1. How love holds strong and keeps faith alive. No matter how hellish life gets.

  2. Beautiful. This reminds me so much of my in-laws who wrote faithfully to each other and married soon after the war.

  3. Hello there! Do you know if they make any plugins to safeguard against hackers?
I'm kinda paranoid about losing everything I've worked hard on.
    Any tips?
