THE BITTER WIND

Bits and pieces, broken memories
are all that's left of my hopes and dreams.
Faded images, what used to be
through eyes of sorrow, I refused to see.
The bitter wind that brought misery is now a long awaited friend;
For in my suffering, reaching for God's hand I face the glory of the risen sun to see the morning dawn, warming my heart in places that were colder than I wanted to believe.

  10. Hard words to hear sometimes, but so true. God ultimately brings warmth from the cold bitter trials that life brings our way. This is a great reminder that He is indeed with us in the midst of all our trials. Thank you.
