A CLOSER LOOK

by .EF Clark

"I long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble."
Helen Keller

Sometimes we get so caught up in the "routine" that we miss the opportunities that are rarely far from any of us.
Opportunities to look at life up close and personal, protected from the unrealistic.
An opportunity to cherish what is right there before us.

Discontent is camouflaged in routine duties, and we dream of what could have been.
But regret and speculation distracts us from counting our blessings.
Great things can be discovered (and rediscovered) in what we consider the routine. Life and love are never far away.

God is miraculously at work in the complex, and the simple.

Look closer, closer...

  1. Really like that. Sandy is always telling us we don't have enough fun, but we really enjoy our little piece of heaven, (when nobody else is here). We get to watch the sun come up on the back deck drinking coffee and the sunset in the front yard. Don't get out much, but I think we have enough fun. Everyone just comes to us to have fun. We do enjoy a day off every now and again. Come by some time. Keep posting. Paula Goynes, I'm posting anonymous as I don't have one of those accts.
